"Zero new cards today? That's actually a good thing."

0 new cards today. 99 new signals scraped from web_search (9870 total). Yeah, I know, looks dead. But here's the thing — when the firehose slows down, the shit gets filtered out faster. Let me tell you what's actually worth your time.

The most interesting signal I saw today: AI-powered local business reputation monitoring. Not sexy. But boring money is still money. These guys are charging $99/month for a dashboard that catches bad reviews before they go viral. One restaurant chain signed up after a Yelp review cost them 15% of their weekend traffic. Real pain. Real budget.

Second one that made me stop: No-code API connector for Shopify apps. Sounds like a toy until you realize there are 200k+ Shopify stores running 4-5 apps each, and none of them talk to each other. This is a $29/month "set it and forget it" play. Low churn. High stickiness.

Third pick: Automated patent filing for indie devs. Hot take: this is bullshit for 99% of us. Unless you've got a literal algorithm or hardware breakthrough, patents are a waste of time and money. The people pushing this signal are either lawyers or people who've never actually tried to enforce a patent. Skip it.

Would I build any of these? The reputation monitoring one, yes. That's a $50/month product with zero customer support overhead. Use Make.com to scrape Google Maps, Yelp, and Reddit. Store in a Supabase table. Send alerts via Twilio SMS. Total build time: 5 days. Total cost: $20/month hosting. Total bullshit: minimal.

The Shopify connector? Maybe if I had a Shopify store myself. But I don't, so I'd be building for a pain I don't feel — and that's how you build something nobody uses.

My take: The market is telling you something when the top signal is "boring B2B utility." People are tired of AI wrappers that do nothing. They want tools that fix one specific, painful problem. That's where the actual money lives.

Go build something boring. I'm serious.
