About DemandRadar

DemandRadar is an idea library for indie developers and founders. It collects real demand signals, such as gaps in competing products and evidence that people already pay for a solution, and turns each one into a scored product idea.

DemandRadar (demand-radar.com) is an idea library for indie developers and founders. It is not affiliated with demandradar.io or the DemandRadar Shopify app.

What DemandRadar does

Each idea card explains the problem, who has it, which existing products fall short, and how hard it would be to build. Every idea gets two scores, OPP and ROI, so you can compare ideas quickly before you spend weeks building one. As of October 2026, the library holds 1,292 published ideas.

Where the ideas come from

Ideas come from Product Hunt, Hacker News, Chrome Web Store, TrustMRR and web search, plus an archive of Reddit threads. Most of the library comes from Product Hunt launches and competitor research. New ideas are added as new products launch.

How scoring works

The OPP score (0–100) rates the opportunity. It weights willingness to pay most heavily (40%), then how beatable the competition is (30%), then urgency and how often the problem comes up (15% each). The ROI score starts from OPP and adjusts it: it adds points for simpler builds, for more independent signals, and for verified data on what competitors earn. The scores are AI estimates, not market research. Use them to decide what to look at first, then check the evidence yourself. The full method is explained in How DemandRadar scores ideas.

Who it's for

DemandRadar is for solo developers, indie hackers and small teams who want to build something people will pay for, and who would rather start from evidence than from a blank page.

Pricing

You can browse ideas on the Free plan. Explorer costs $12 per month and Pro costs $25 per month. See Pricing for what each plan includes.
